Yes! All applicants spend a day at the school before decision letters are mailed in April. The visitation day is a part of the admissions process. Applicants are hosted by a Huakailani Girl in either their current grade or the grade to which they are applying. To reserve a date, contact 263-2020 or email - huakailani@gmail.com.
After the priority deadline of December 31, applications received are processed on a rolling admission basis as received.
To be considered a "Priority Candidate" the application form and fee must be received by the school admission office by December 31.
After December 31, applications will continue to be accepted to fill any spaces that may be available.

Yes, once the application and application fee has been processed, your daughter will be scheduled for an interview day. The interview consists of a informal interview with each candidate that includes one-one -one testing.
K- 1 (developmental readiness screening)
Grades 1- 6 (Academic screening in math, reading and writing).
At the same time the candidate is being interviewed, the parent(s) take part in an one-on-one interview. This interview is time for the parent(s) to ask any questions they may have about the school and for a time for both the parent and school to determine if Huakailani is the best match for you daughter and family.
For Priority Candidates applying by December 31 - All support items (application, report card copies [if applicable], teacher evaluations, and standardized test scores [if applicable]) are due to the Admission Office by January 31.
If the application is submitted after December 31, please check with the Admissions Office for the support document due date.
Open spaces are filled on a rolling basis.
